A key point of difference to other workshops is Micra’s high environmental standards, which are well above industry standards. The new workshop has been purpose designed and built to reduce noise, dust and smell. Our building is designed so all rainwater from the roof can be captured and stored on site.
Seven Festool Cleantec dust extractors are used in the workshop, reducing the amount of dust significantly. Micra also use water based PPG Envirobase Waterborne Paints, which are less toxic, have lower emissions, less waste product and use no solvent. Our innovative environmental design and practices resulted in us winning the Launceston Chamber of Commerce ‘Best Environmental Practice’ award in 2010.
